Vespasian, (A.D. 69-79), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 76, (23.22 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG P [M TR P PP COS VII], rev. Temple of Jupiter Capitolinus facing with six columns, S C in exergue, (S.-, RIC 577, C.488). The reverse is nearly as fine as the RIC example, light brown patina, fine/nearly very fine, important and very rare.

An important and very rare architectural sestertius.
