Vespasian, (A.D. 69-79), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 71, (26.9 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IM[P CAES] VESPASIAN AVG P M TR P PP COS III, rev. around SPES AVGVSTA, Spes standing to left, offering flower to Vespasian, who stands to right facing her, accompanied by Titus and Domitian, (S.-, RIC 462 [R2], C.514). Spot of corrosion on the obverse and some surface tooling, dark green patina, fine and very rare.
