Phoenicia, Sidon, king `Abd `astart I, (372-362/1 B.C.), silver sixteenth shekel, (0.79 grams), obv. war galley travelling to left, waves below, Phoenician letter 9 above, rev. Phoenician letter O between Persian king or bearded deity and lion which he is slaying, (S.5936, SNG Cop. 197-200, BMC 37-44 [p.147], SNG Fitz 6046, Betylon 27 [p.12, Pl.2 and 3]). Off centred on the obverse, dark tone, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
