Denarius Rome mint (struck 241 A.D.) Obv. Laureate draped bust right Rev. DIANA LVCIFERA Diana standing right holding lighted torch (RIC 127;C.69;Sear 2470). Extremely fine and scarce.
This was a special isue for the marriage of Gordian to Sabina Tranquillina, daughter of Gordian's chief minister and mentor, Timisitheus.
