Islamic, Abbasid Caliphs, al-Mutawakkil, (A.H. 232-247) (A.D. 847-861), gold dinar, Misr mint (Cairo, Egypt), A.H. 245, = A.D. 859-860, with additional field inscriptions, on the obverse al-Muqtadir billah' (powerful through Allah) and the reverse 'li-Ilah' (to Allah) and 'al-Mutawakkil billah' the name of the caliph, (A.229, cf.M.211). Weak in places, slightly crinkled, otherwise very fine and rare.
