Sassanian King, Shapur I, (240-270), silver drachm, (4.4 grams), obv. bust to right with crown, flowing hair type, rev. fire altar with attendants, crescent symbol on shaft, (cf.Sellwood Plate II, No.15, cf.Gobl 30, cf.M.809-810). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.
