Italy, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (400-350 B.C.), silver distater or tetradrachm, (15.56 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, die crack across face, rev. bull butting to right, **QOU[RIWN] above, large tunny fish below in exergue, exergual line, (S.440, Noe F44 [two known from these dies], SNG ANS 971 [same dies]). Curious die break on face, otherwise very fine and very rare.
