Sultans of Bengal, (House of Raja Ganesh), Ghiyas-ud-din Azam Shah, (A.H. 792-819, A.D. 1389-1410), gold tanka, (10.9 grams), no mint, not dated, (cf.Rajgor 237 [p.22] = Dr.Brilliant collection No.301, Singapore Spink-Taisei sale No.9, 20th February 1991]). Extremely fine and extremely rare the type differeing in style to the other published example in gold of this ruler.
A. Karim in 'Corpus of the Muslim Coins of Bengal' (Dhaka 1960), lists no gold coins of this ruler.
