Q. Caecilius Metellus Pius denarius (struck c. 81 B.C.) Obv. Diademed head of Pietas right, stork before Rev. Lituus and jug, IMPER in exergue (Craw.374/2;Syd.751;Bab.Caecilia 44;Sear cf.278). Appears to have been removed from a mount,causing some edge damage, otherwise very fine.
