Group of Four: Military Medal(GVR); 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal. 2964 Dvr P.E.Illingworth 4/Aust M.G.C. on first medal, named as Pte on second medal and with 15/Bn A.I.F. on trio. Impressed. Very fine.

Percy Edward Illingworth Enl 28Jul1915 (Tasmania) Emb 22Sep1915 RTA 28May1919. Allocated to 15th Bn A.I.F. as a Pte, appointed Dvr 16Sep1916. MM.CG;5Sept1918; 'For conspicuous gallantry in the field during operations on August 8th 1918. When the advance was held up by enfilade field gun fire from CHIPILLY he galloped his limber with the Vickers guns forward and enable them to come very quickly into action against the enemy guns. Later when the advance resumed he, seeing a tank stranded under shell fire drove up and took the guns onto his limber continuing with the double load to within 200 yards of the final objective. By his disregard for personal safety and determination he set a splendid example and greatly assisted the advance'. Together with photograph and extensive research.
