Folio size, grey-green cloth boards, gilt edge of both volumes, gilt coin on both covers, binding of plates with internal split, and minor discolouration on top edge of leaves on text volume, rare and very important.

Original sets are very rare and command some thousands of dollars. This the Forni reprint is rare and the first offered by this company. Grierson p.63, Clain-Stefanelli 2202: 'Chiefly concerned with the esthetic aspect of the coinage (of ancient Sicily)'. Kroh p.19 'It is a very detailed work that is the most complete and easiest to use...it is quite rare and in extreme demand..'. Volume no.251.
