Phoenicia, Sidon, 'Abd 'astart I, (372-362/1 B.C.), silver eighth shekel, (0.66 grams), obv. war galley travelling to left, with rowers, two lines of zig-zag waves below, rev. bearded deity about to slay lion, between them Phoenician letter 'o' between them, all within incuse square, (S.5936, BMC 37-44 [p.147], Betlyon 27 [p.12). Fine/ very fine and scarce.
