Thessaly, Larissa, silver drachm, 340-320 B.C., (6.06 grams), obv, facing head three-quarter to l. of nymph Larissa, within dotted border, rev. horse grazing to right, with head turned facing, above **LAPIS, in exergue **AIWN, trident downwards under horse, (cf.S.2121, Hermann Pl.V, 14). Off centred on obverse, with full flan on reverse, of finest style, extremely fine and rare variant.
