Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.2 grams), Colophon mint, issued c.301-297 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, lion-head to left, over **F to left, below throne pentagram, to right **ALEXANDR[OU], (cf.S.6730, Price 1836, BMC 1836a-e, Muller 343). Severely scratched on the reverse, tooled, good very fine/fine.
