M(elbourne) M(etropolitan) T(ramways) B(oard), handcrafted fob in gold (15ct, 5.9gms, 25mm) inscribed to 'R.H.Solly'; together with City of Melbourne, fob in gold and enamel (15ct 8.9gms, 23mm) impressed on rev.'74'. Good very fine.(2)
R.H.Solly, first elected as Councillor of the Victoria Ward in 1934, was Mayor of Melbourne from 21 Aug 1953 to 29 Aug 1954, retired in 1968.
