India, assorted coins, mostly EIC 1835-1840, including rupees 1835 (3) and 1840 (8) and fractions, many bought back after John Bean's death in 1880; his Punjab medal 1849, Asst. Surgeon John Bean, 1st Eur. Fusiliers clasps Goojerat and Mooltan, ephemera collected by John Bean including handmade copper oval plate, double-edged 'wavy' spearhead used by Indian tribesman and spade spearhead; coins include Kushan coppers and a Bombay Surat mint silver rupee, c.1815. Very good - extremely fine. (38)
