Description

British WWII Steel Helmet, no markings, some of the upper leather lining is hardened and some missing, with chinstrap, one of the strap holders is marked "U/1940", written on the underside in ink, "J.King - Harman"; water canteen with screw-on lid and fitted with leather shoulder strap; horse stirrup, marked on the base, " Solid Nickel" and "Butler Bros" and "A1" and indistinguishable other marking; also a very worn and rusty Lucky Hit Ready Rubbed Tobacco tin; also a non-military retractable painted brass telescope covered with interlaced cord braiding. The hat heavily toned, the canteen with many dents, the telescope worn and closes but will not stay shut, otherwise poor - fine. (5)
