Andronicus II and Michael IX, (1295 - 1320 AD), gold hyperpyron (scyhate), (4.08 g), Constantinople Mint, obv. bust of Virgin Mary within city walls and four towers, B to left and retrograded B to right, rev. Andronicus II and Michael IX to left and right, Christ standing between, partial legend downwards of each emperor (S.2396, Bendall cf.PCPC 142).
