Kings of the Bosphoros, Sauromates, with Septimius Severus, electrum stater, (A.D. 172-211), (7.71 g), struck year 493 = A.D. 196, obv. diademed and draped bust to right of Sauromates, around BACI**L*EWC CAYPOMATOY, rev. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, star before, date below **G*qV (493), dotted border, (cf.S.5476, Frolova p.175, obv. C, rev c [these dies], cf.BMC 9).
