Description

Baptist Mission Jubilee, 1842, medal in white metal (38mm) (BHM 2065), by Davis, Birm, with pierced hole at top edge, obverse with five draped busts within circles with names of Carey, Fuller, Pearce, Sutcliff and Ryland with a bible in the centre and with the legend, "Not By Might, Not By Power, But By My Spirit, Saith The Lord. Zech. C.4, V.6.", reverse features a view of a house between trees and behind a fence and below this, "The House At Kettering In Which/The Baptist Missionary/Society Was Formed/Oct. 2nd 1792".
