Description

World War II, in silvered bronze (58 mm) medallion featuring a solider in uniform with long arm at ready, stepping up to battle with aircraft pearing overhead. Text: 'Australia/will go on/to the end'; and 'Struck by Amo (C.A/18)/Medallions and/Badge Makers/Australia'; '1940'.
Obverse: a woman in diaphanous dress reaching out to a dove representing peace, with a church in the background and upturned canon or other vehicle at side. Text: 'We shall outlive/the menace of Nazi Tyranny'.
