Lovell's Flat, hand engraved stock medal in gold (15ct, 5.3g, 23x22mm), by G. & T.Y. (G. & T.Young, Dunedin), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Presented/To/Mr James Drinnan/as a token of esteem from/the Residents of/Lovell's Flat/7.7.02'. Very fine.
Probably the father of Private R.A.Drinnan, 4th Contingent, 9th Company, South African War.
