Auckland City Guards R.V. (Rifle Volunteers), Champion Belt, medal handcrafted in silver and gold (45x40mm), by HK (Heinrich Kohn, Auckland), reverse inscribed 'Won By/Bugler W.Dormer/1892/110 Points'; also, N.Z.A.A.A (New Zealand Amateur Athletics Association), Dunedin, Feb 1914, handcrafted in gold (15ct, 13.8g, 32mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'N.Z. Amateur Championship/1 Mile/Flat/Championship/A.W.Dormer/1st'. Extremely fine; fine, both with ring top suspensions. (2)

Bugler W.Dormer won the prize on 23 January 1892 and was dead by the following December. He died of typhoid fever and was the son of Lt Dormer of the Auckland City Guards.
