To/Wor.Bro.John Buchanan/P.C.S.Works/By the Bretheren of/Lodge Matuara 174/Oct 1931'; Lodge Mataura 174, handcrafted in gold (probably 9ct, 14.9g, 67x50mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'Presented To/Wor.Bro.I.G.Buchanan/W.M.1948-49/As a Mark of Esteem/Mataura N.Z./Oct.1950'; another, handcrafted in gold (9ct, tot wt 12.9g, 50x23mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'Presented to Wor.Bro. John Buchanan/After 25 Years as Treasurer/Mataura N.Z., 1946', obverse inscribed 'Presented to/Wor.Bro.I.G.Buchanan/Oct/1966'; 50 Years Service badge, struck in gold (9ct, 16.1g, 33x40mm), by Bock (W.R.Bock, Wellington), missing pin from reverse, inscribed 'R.W.Bro.J.Buchanan/Raised 9 Jan.1906'; another, but gilt and enamel (38x35mm), no maker, pin-back, reverse inscribed 'W Bro I.G.Buchanan/Initiated/26-2-1944'.
