Shield Event, hand engraved in gold (9ct, 7.6g, 32x30mm), English maker and hallmark, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Presented by/J.Speight & Co.Ltd./Won By/Foreman Pollock/1913'. Very fine.
Possibly a fire brigade event.
J.Speight & Co. Ltd is a Dunedin brewer, the first beers being brewed in April 1876.
