Auckland Boxing Club, in gold (9ct, 9.8g, 27mm), by K&D (Kirkman & Denison, Auckland), reverse inscribed 'Provincial Championship/Light/Weights/A.Blewdon/1st/1905'; Northern Boxing Association, in gold (9ct?, 13.2g, 35x30mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'Light Weight/Championship/1st Prize/1905/Won by/A.J.Blewden'; another, in gold (9ct?, 12.5g, 35x31mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'Lightweight/Championship/Auckland/Won By/A J Blewden/1906', all with ring top suspensions. Very fine. (3)
Alfred James Blewden (1885-1979) was an amateur boxer in the Auckland region. In December 1906 he was chosen to represent New Zealand at the English Boxing Championships in London, where he was defeated.
