Trio: The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (Civil Division), Member (MBE) with lady's ribbon; Papua New Guinea Independence Medal 1975; Papua New Guinea 10th Anniversary of Independence Medal 1985. All unnamed. The first in case of issue by Fattorini with card and pin-back suspension, the other two also with pin-back suspension. Extremely fine - uncirculated.
^Miniature of MBE with lady's ribbon, pin-back; Investiture Booklet and other documents; b&w photo of Joan Bampton with mostly Papua New Guinea men and women, looks like soft ball team members, all wearing Papua New Guinea Banking Corporation shirts; sterling silver chain attached to a 1935 New Guinea shilling with suspension ring; a pair of earrings made from a pair of 1944 New Guinea threepences; a series of Sport's Medals all with neck ribbons, includes 4th South Pacific Games Tahiti, 1971 in silvered and enamel (59mm); 5th South Pacific Games Guam USA, 1975, in gilt (73mm); P.N.G. Softball Fed. C'ships Lae, 1986, in gilt with plastic capsule (51mm); Central Australian Masters Games Alice Springs, in bronze (51mm), reverse impressed 'BASKETBALL"; 6th Australian Masters Games Canberra, 1997, appears to be silver (45x70mm); also Rockdale Municipality Celebrating Australia's Birthday, 1988, in gilt (51mm).^Ex I.S.Wright 7/8/2020 and bluevenom00 17/8/2020.^MBE: Supplement to LG 31/12/1991, p48 - to Miss Joan Bampton - For services to sport. ^Joan Bampton was recognized for her significant contributions to sport in Papua New Guinea not only for her involvement in PNG's rugby league in which her husband Eddie Bampton played first grade but her involvement in other sports.
