Syria, Kingdom of, Philip I Philadelphos, (c.95/4-76/5 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.89 g), uncertain mint in Cilicia, likely Tarsos, issued 94/3-88/7 B.C., obv. diademed head of Philip I to right with fillet border, rev. **[B]ASILE[WU] / FILIPPOY - EPIFANOUS / FILADEL[IOU]* Zeus seated left, holding Nike in his right hand and long sceptre in his left, to outer left and below throne, monograms; in inner left field, monogram; all within laurel wreath, (cf.S.7196, SC 2460b, SMA 456, HGC 9, 1316 [R1]). Lightly polished, light golden patination, otherwise, good extremely fine and rare.
