Peloponnesos, Elis, Olympia, 111-114th Olympiad, (336-324 B.C.), silver hemidrachm (2.23 g), Hera Mint, obv. head of the eponymous nymph Olympia to right, rev. FA to left, eagle standing right, head left, wings folded, on uncertain object, thunderbolt to right upwards, (cf.S.2890 [stater], BCD Olympia 336.9 [p.96 Leu 90, May 10, 2004 similar dies], cf.BMC 114 variety, cf.Seltman pl.XII, 25-6, cf.CNG Sale 81, lot 2263 [same dies], SNG Cop. 409, HGC 5, -). Nearly very fine, toned, minor roughness, struck from worn obverse die, very rare.

Ex BCD Collection, acquired from CNG Triton XIII (lot 2181 (part). Lot includes collectors detail ticket in 2x2 flip CNG and the BCD round ticket.
