Thrace, Island off Thrace, Thasos, (145-120 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.84 g), obv. large head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and band across forehead, rev. Herakles naked standing to left, holding club, lion skin over left arm, to right **HRAKLEOUS*, to left **SWTHROS, below **FASIWN, MHP monogram to left, (cf.S.1759, SNG Cop. 1040-1045, Prokopov Silberpragung Group XVI, 1215-1241, Le Rider Thasiennes 52, HGC 8, 359). Good metal, bright well centred, fine style, good extremely fine, rare as such.
