India, Hundi notes, British India, Queen Victoria 6.3.1876, one rupee eight annas, wmk. part crowned royal arms with lion and unicorn, 'Government of India Bill of Exchange' with revenue stamps overprinted eleven times; (KM.SAC H10.1); another 29.9.1887, and another 20.3.1888, (both KM.SAC H20.8), another three rupees, wmk. Hundi India, (KM.SAC H20.9); another Edward VII, three rupees, same wmk., (KM.SAC H.21.9); another 4.4.1938, four rupees eight annas, (KM.SAC H22c); others ten annas 24.4.1940, (KM.SAC 23A); another pair payment to Messrs Gopal Das Mehra Calcutta, two annas, dated 11.12.1950 (KM.SAC H23.1) and 29.11.1950 (a Republic issue!) not in KM but see p.539 at top [this example confirms issue of KGVI after independence]. Mostly very fine, all with detailed descriptive cards, last two rare. (9)
