USA, half dollar, 1870 S (KM.99) (illus.); Philippines, USA administration, silver one peso, 1908 S (KM.908), the peso housed in a historic souvenir packet, both said to have been salvaged from Manila Bay post World War II. Nearly extremely fine; toned, with evidence of salt water damage, nearly very fine. (2)

Ex Alan McRae Collection, salvaged from Manila Bay following their dumping by General Douglas MacArthur to prevent the Japanese from capturing coins and bullion as they advanced on Manila during World War II.
