OSTROGOTHS, Witigis (Vitiges), (A.D. 563-540), silver half siliqua, Ravenna mint, issued 518-526 in the name of Justinian I, (1.28 g) obv. pearl-diademed and mantled bust right, around traces of D N IVSTINIANVS PF AVG rev. DN / VVIT / ICES / REX within wreath, (Metlich 63, MIB 57, MEC 1, 151). Toned, fine and very rare.
