HERACLIUS, (610-641), silver hexagram or double miliarense, Constantinople mint, issued 632-635, (6.55 g), obv. seated crowned figures of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, cross between, around dd NN hERACLIU[S Et hERA CO]NSt, rev. Cross potent on three steps, monogram to right, around DEUS ADIUTA RO[MANIS], (S.799, DOC 65, MIB 143, R.1384-5). Toned, very fine and a scarce variety.
