Hendersons Sweets, departure fob in gold (9ct; 15.56g; 31x37mm), by W.Kerr, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed, 'Sydney/With Best Wishes', plain reverse inscribed, 'Presented to/Mr N.Henderson./By the Employees of/"Hendersons Sweets"/On his Departure/for the front./1915'. Good very fine.

In case by William Kerr, Goldsmith & Silversmith, 542 & 544 George St, Sydney. ^Nelson John Henderson was the son of Scottish migrant James Henderson who came to Sydney in 1891 and a few years later founded Henderson's Sweets which as it grew relocated to Haymarket, Sydney. Henderson's Sweets were the makers of the popular sweet, Minties.
