PERSIAN IMPERIAL COINAGE, Kingdom of, Darius I, (510-486 B.C.) or later, silver obol or sixth siglos, (0.81 g), issued 500-485 B.C., obv. king as bearded archer kneeling to right with spear and bow, rev. oblong incuse punch, (cf.S.4678 [siglos], Carradice -, Bab. ii, 22, cf.Aufhauser 12 [lot 290], BMC -). Good fine and extremely rare.
