TROAS, Alexandria Troas, Severus Alexander, (222-235 A.D.), AE 24, (8.82 g), obv. laureate radiate head of Severus Alexander to right, around IM S ALE XANDER AV, rev. horse grazing to right, around COL ALEX /TRO, (cf.S.3298, BMC 128, RPC (on line) 3991-2 (temp), SNG Cop.165, Bellinger A339). Good fine/nearly extremely fine, scarce.

Ex William B. Porter Collection (with his descriptive ticket) from CNG Triton VII, January 13-14, 2004 (lot 1327 part), from the Tony Hardy Collection and previously from Baldwins in September 1977 (?10) with tickets.
