ATTICA, Athens, (c.465 - 454 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.00 g), obv. head of Athena right, wearing crested helmet, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, olive twig behind **AQE* to right, (S.SG.2520, Starr Group V.B, HGC 4, 1596). Attractively toned, some smoothing and cleaning on obverse, very fine and a rare early type.
