Valens, (A.D. 348-378), silver siliqua (1.69g), Lugdunum mint, 1st officna, issued 365-6 AD, obv. pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right, D N VALENS P F AVG, rev. Valens standing right, holding globe and labarum, RESTITVTOR REIP around, PLVG in exergue (S.19662; RIC 6f; RSC 28b). Pleasant old cabinet tone, small scuff on bust, very fine.
