Maximianus, (A.D. 286-305), billon follis (9.87g), Aquilea mint, 2nd officina, Group I, class IIIa, issued 296 AD, obv. laureate head to right, IMP MAXIMIANVS P F AVG around, rev. Genius standing facing nude, wearing modius on head, holding a cornucopiae, chlamys over left shoulder, pouring liquid from patera in right hand, GENIO POVLI ROMANI around (S.13252, RIV VI 23b); billon antoninianus (4.13g), Lugdunum mint, 3rd officina, 5th emission, issued 287-8 AD, obv. radiate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust right, IMP C MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, rev. Hercules standing right, strangling lion, club at feet, Victory flying right, crowning Hercules, VICTORIA AVGG around (c.f. S.13185; RIC V 461). Surviving silvering, nearly extremely fine; good very fine, scarce. (2)
