Tetricus I, (270-3 AD), forgery by Becker of silver denarius, (3.63 g), obv. Laureate head of Tetricus I cuirassed to right, IMP TETRICVS PIVS AVG around, rev. P M TR P COS P P around, Emperor standing half left, head to left, holding branch and sceptre, (Becker No.242, illustrated Hill plate XIII, struck early 19th century, obv. Laureate head). Very rare as Becker Forgery, good very fine.

Ex S.J. Green Colleciton, from Noble Numismatics Sale 116 (4911). Previously ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection from Sale 107 (lot 3929), and coming from an old Hungarian Collection. The issue was used by Becker for Hill coin No.239 obverse, The thumb of the right hand is very long, same die for Reverse used in Hill No.243.
