Trebonianus Gallus, (A.D. 251-3), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 251-2 AD, obv. radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, IMP CAE C VIB TREB GALLVS AVG, rev. Libertas standing left, holding pilius in right hand and sceptre in left, LIBERTAS AVG (S.9634; RIC IV 39; RSC 63). Attractive golden toning, good very fine and scarce.
Ex S.J. Green Collection, purchased from Noble Numismatics Sale 124 (lot 3456). Previously ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection, from Baldwins London.
