Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, (3.77 g), obv. radiate bust right, around IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, rev. CONCORDIA AVG, Concordia seated to left, holding patera and cornucopiae, (S.8604, RIC 35, RSC 50) (illustrated); another, (4.74 g), around VIRTVS AVG, Virtus standing facing in military dress, head left, with shield and spear, (S.8668, RIC 6, RSC 381); another, (5.42 g), rev. VIRTVTI AVGVSTI around. Hercules standing facing, head right, holding club and lion skin, (S.8670, RIC 95, RSC 404); another, (4.14 g), rev. AETERNITATI AVG around, Sol, radiate, standing left with globe, (S.8603, RIC 83); another, (4.63 g), rev. Victory standing left with palm, resting sheild on captive at foot, around VICTORIA AETER (S.8662, RIC.154, RSC.348). Toning, good fine - nearly extremely fine. (5)
