Severus Alexander, (A.D. 222-235), AE sestertius (20.86 g), Rome Mint, issued A.D. 228, obv. laureate bust of Severus Alexander to right, around IMP SEV ALEXANDER AVG, rev. Roma seated left on shield, holding Victory and sceptre, around ROMAE AETERNAE, (S.8016, RIC 602, C 520). Deeply toned, very fine and scarce.
