Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 224, Rome mint, (3.05 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. P M TR P III COS PP, Pax standing to left holding olive branch and sceptre, (cf.S.7904, RIC 40, RSC 254). As struck, good extremely fine, with brilliant fields, rare as such.
