Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius (3.05g), Emesa mint, issued 194 AD, obv. laureate head facing right, IMP CAE L SEP [SEV PER]T AVG COS III, rev. Severus in military dress, pracing on horseback left, holding a spear, SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI around. Dark toned, small flan chip at 7 o'clock, very fine.
