Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), AE sestertius, issued 104/5-107, Rome Mint, (24.08 g), obv. laureate bust to right of Trajan, wearing aegis, around IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P, rev. the Danube standing left, placing knee on Dacia, whom he forces to the ground, around S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI, S C across, (S.3197, RIC II 558 corr. (Tiber), Woytek 199b, Banti 232). Attractively toned, very fine and rare.
