Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), silver denarius (3.17g), Rome mint, issued 113-117 AD, obv. laureate bust of Trajan right, far shoulder draped, IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P around, rev. Victory advancing right, wreath in right hand and holding palm frond over left shoulder, SPQR OPTINO PRINCIPO around (S.-; RIC II 280; RSC 431). Nearly extremely fine or better.
Ex S.J. Green Collection, purchased from Heritage Auctions 231720 (lot 63080). Previously in a slab by NGC as XF (certificate number 1883466-010).
