Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), silver denarius (3.22g), Rome mint, issued 100 AD, obv. laureate head of Trajan right, IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM, rev. Pax standing left, draped, holding branch and cornucopiae, P M TR P COS III P P (S.-; RIC II 38). Gouge to right of bust (possibly to accentuate Trajan's opulent nose), very fine.
