Domitian, (A.D. 81-96), AE as, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 85, (11.03 g), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right with aegis IMP CAES DOMITIAN AVG GERM COS XI, rev. around above SALVTI in exergue AVGVSTI, between double panelled Altar, S C across, (cf.S.2808, RIC 305, BMC 315). Green-brown patination, minor surface porosity, very fine - good very fine, scarce.
